North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center Accredited
At North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Jacksonville, Florida, we offer clinically excellent outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are battling addictions to opioids. We use medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is backed by decades of research and has proved to be an ideal option for treating people who have opioid addictions. MAT combines talk therapy with the use of prescription medication to offer a comprehensive approach to care. Adults who participate in MAT at our treatment center may receive a prescription for methadone or buprenorphine. The medication that a person is prescribed is determined after they meet with our team members and complete a thorough assessment of their physical and psychological health, their history of drug use, and their current drug use. Both methadone and buprenorphine are FDA-approved medications and work to ease the distressing symptoms of withdrawal and help minimize ongoing cravings. We believe that data-driven, individualized treatment is key to achieving successful treatment outcomes. That's why we incorporate both individual and group therapy into our programming. During individual sessions, patients work one-on-one with a qualified professional where they can discuss a number of topics and address the possible underlying causes of their opioid use. In group therapy, patients may develop and practice skills and coping strategies that can help prevent future relapse. Group therapy also offers patients a chance to meet with other people who are facing similar challenges, providing them with an opportunity to give and receive support to and from one another. When a person chooses to receive treatment for opioid addiction at our facility, they can collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who strive to help them be successful in their recovery journeys.
