Lakeland Behavioral Health System Accredited
Lakeland Behavioral Health System is a premier provider of services for children, adolescents, teens, and older adults who are struggling with symptoms of mental health concerns. Located in Springfield, Missouri, north of Arkansas, we work with patients and their families to create individualized treatment plans to address concerns such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, aggression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, and depression. At Lakeland Behavioral Health System, we offer personalized, evidence-based therapies and age-appropriate programming. Our HOPE program is available for adults age 60 and older. Patients may participate in group, individual, or activity therapies such as art, music, and stress reduction programs. We encourage families to participate as well, learning more about specific disorders, medications, and coping strategies. Lakeland offers inpatient and residential programming for children and adolescents, including a special program affiliated with TRICARE for dependent children of active–duty military members and retirees. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the primary modality we offer to patients ages 4-20. Our programs include both coed and separate tracks for boys and girls. Inpatient programs are available for children and adolescents ages 4-17, and residential programs are open to children and young people ages 9-20. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) includes nine to 12 hours of therapy each week and lasts about four weeks depending on your child’s unique needs. In group and individual therapy, your child can grow in areas such as emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and interpersonal skills. At Lakeland Behavioral Health System, we value continuous improvement. That’s why we are proud to offer a school for children and teens participating in our behavioral health programs. Lakeland Regional School is nationally accredited and has a staff of professional teachers, many of whom have advanced degrees and certifications in special education. Besides offering a traditional core curriculum, we may also offer Title I remediation services, speech and hearing support, and physical and occupational therapy. We also run a summer enrichment program full of exploration, investigation, and discovery-based lessons.
Lakeland Behavioral Health System will be an outstanding provider of quality, safe, and cost effective psychiatric services; meeting the needs of patients and their families in the communities we serve.
