About This Organization:

Wilmington Treatment Center is a highly respected provider of treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Adults age 18 and older can take advantage of individualized programming in our safe, supportive environment in Wilmington, North Carolina. At Wilmington Treatment Center, we treat the whole person, not just the symptoms that patients may be experiencing. Our holistic recovery process can help you work toward lasting recovery by addressing your mental, emotional, and physical needs. Our expert team of professionals will provide ongoing evaluation and collaborate with you on an individualized treatment plan that can meet your unique needs. Our levels of care include medical detoxification, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient programming (IOP). We’ve also created Operation Recovery, a program designed for active-duty military members, veterans, and first responders who may be experiencing symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Patients may participate in individual, family, and group therapy sessions throughout their stay at our treatment center, and we offer medication management services for patients who need them. Our therapists and clinicians have training in therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and chronic pain management. We also offer body-focused treatments, including auricular acupuncture, reiki, and yoga. To help keep our patients active, we provide a wide range of recreational programs such as canoeing, ropes courses, trips to the beach, our music recording studio, and 12-Step community outings. We’ve seen the positive influence a supportive family can have on the recovery process. That’s why we offer weekly seminars to teach families about addiction and ways to improve relationships. We also create space for families to interact in group exercises, where they can receive support and encouragement from people who may understand their experiences. Once a month, we host a three-day intensive family program full of helpful resources that can prepare loved ones to continue assisting in the healing process.

Mission Statement:

"In accordance with our vision statement, it is the mission and responsibility of all employees of Wilmington Treatment Center to provide excellent treatment to addicted individuals and their families in an atmosphere governed by respect for all.

With integrity as our moral compass, we are accountable to our patients for excellent treatment, including medical/psychiatric management, supportive confrontation, sharing of feelings, and reality orientation. We are also accountable to all stakeholders for the same excellence in all relationships and transactions."
