Senior Compliance Specialist (Remote)

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• State licensing and accreditation maintenance (key date tracking, documentation submission, coordination with key leaders with compliance responsibilities)
• Use of Simplifyance software to manage customer compliance
• Incident management and response support
• Create, revise, and combine policies and procedures addressing healthcare law and regulation
• Detailed and timely regulatory and compliance related research
• Support in process improvement initiatives internally and externally
• Proactive learning of industry-specific content and upcoming changes in regulation
• Ongoing education of Behavioral Healthcare and larger healthcare environment

This job is fully remote, with travel requirements

• Extensive experience in policy and procedure creation and revision
• Direct experience working in healthcare facility compliance
• Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail

• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to travel up to 20%

• 3+ years of work experience in compliance, regulatory and/or healthcare environment strongly preferred, ideally with working knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) and/or Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
• Experience working in behavioral healthcare compliance is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible, scaling environment
• Must be comfortable working in a remote environment
• Experience with process-improvement is a plus
