Alcoholism

Alcoholism, more formally known as Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is the problematic pattern of alcohol use which results in clinically significant impairment or distress. AUD is characterized by increased use of alcohol, unsuccessful attempts to reduce intake, cravings, use resulting in failure to fulfill life obligations, loss of important activities due to use, use in hazardous situations, tolerance or withdrawal.
