MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital, located in New Castle, Delaware, is a leading provider of residential treatment for adolescents, adults, and seniors who are suffering from mental health and addiction concerns. We offer comprehensive and compassionate care designed to support you in your recovery goals. At MeadowWood, we believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms you may be experiencing. That’s why our treatment teams take the time to collaborate with you on an individualized treatment plan geared to your unique needs and stage of life. We offer specialized inpatient programs for adolescents ages 12-17, adults age 18 and older, and seniors age 55 and older. These programs can include medication management, family therapy and education, and aftercare planning. In group therapy, patients can learn skills to help them manage symptoms, navigate social situations, and practice awareness and communication of thoughts and feelings. We also offer a co-occurring disorders treatment program for patients who need care for both addiction and mental health concerns. Patients in this program may begin treatment with our detoxification services. Following detox, patients might participate in group, family, and expressive therapies, medication management and education, daily 12-Step meetings, and counseling for relapse prevention. If you require a less acute level of care than our inpatient option, you can take advantage of our partial hospitalization programs (PHPs). We are pleased to offer a telehealth option for patients who wish to attend our PHP virtually. Our telehealth patients can join our on-site patients in group therapy as well as meet with a psychiatrist for medication management services as needed. MeadowWood also invites adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to attend our intensive outpatient program (IOP), which may incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic theory.
