At our treatment center, patients receive medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is a form of opioid addiction treatment that combines talk therapy with the use of certain prescription medications. Organizations like the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) highly recommend MAT, as decades of research supports its effectiveness in treating opioid addiction. Many methadone clinics are only able to prescribe methadone, while we are able to prescribe multiple medications, which allows us to better serve a greater number of people. Patients at our treatment center can receive prescriptions for Suboxone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone in addition to methadone. The specific medication that each person takes is based on their individual needs and is determined after they complete a thorough assessment prior to starting treatment. All medications used in MAT are FDA-approved and work to alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal and prevent ongoing cravings. To ensure that our patients receive the full scope of MAT services, we offer group counseling and individual counseling.
