About This Organization:

Youth Care Treatment Center is a leading provider of supportive programming for adolescents ages 11-17 who are experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions and co-occurring addictions. Youth Care is located in Draper, Utah, a 20-minute drive from Salt Lake City and accessible to residents of Nevada and Idaho. Our welcoming treatment center offers comfortable, home-like spaces where adolescents can receive individualized treatment for a wide range of concerns such as depression, bipolar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), suicidal ideation, self-harm, and substance abuse. Our residential treatment and partial hospitalization programs reflect our values of respect, accountability, and responsibility. Your child may earn rewards as they progress through our Orientation, Awareness, Proficiency, and Mastery Levels of residential treatment. We provide evidence-based therapies, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address four key areas of the healing journey: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Our expert physicians are available to help your child manage any medication they may be taking during their stay. In addition to individual therapy and process groups, we offer activity-based experiences that can allow your child to practice what they are learning while having fun with their peers. Experiential activities can include snowshoeing, indoor climbing, yoga, pet therapy, and music groups. We also provide recreational therapy, including service activities such as volunteering at a local food bank. At Youth Care Treatment Center, we want patients to feel confident that we can meet their academic needs during their time with us. Our multidisciplinary team of teachers, special educators, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and aides works together to plan full-day academic classes during treatment. Our student-to-staff ratio of four-to-one allows each student to ask questions and receive the hands-on learning experiences necessary to continue meeting their educational goals.

Mission Statement:

At Youth Care, we provide adolescents with a clinically intense program and a home-like setting where every interaction is therapeutic.
