NAATP Releases Addiction Public Policy Statement
The National Association issues new document describing industry positions on critical addiction treatment topics.
NAATP is pleased to provide our members with a new Public Policy Statement adopted by the association on February 14, 2017. The purpose of the statement is to describe the positions of the National Association relative to important issues that impact the delivery of addiction treatment. It is intended to inform the reader and to guide policy advocacy within NAATP and the addiction treatment field regarding some of the wide range of issues that impact addiction services. Topics covered include: Abstinence, Components of Comprehensive Care, Pharmacology, Harm Reduction, Chronicity, and Relapse.
