About This Organization:

Located in Beloit, Wisconsin, Beloit Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. Our team uses medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is an evidence-based form of opioid addiction treatment that combines the use of prescription medication and talk therapy. MAT is backed by decades of research, and its effectiveness is noted by respected organizations like the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The medications used in MAT are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for both short- and long-term use. While some methadone clinics are only capable of prescribing methadone, the staff at our treatment center can prescribe multiple types of medication, including methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and naltrexone. Prior to starting treatment, each patient takes part in a thorough assessment, and the results of that assessment help our team determine which medication may be of most benefit to them. The medications each work to ease symptoms of opioid withdrawal while also preventing the ongoing cravings that frequently lead to relapse. As part of MAT, the team at Beloit CTC also offers individual and group therapy sessions. During individual counseling, patients meet one-on-one with a qualified professional in a confidential setting. Here, they have the opportunity to discuss any number of topics that can help them as they work through the treatment process. In group counseling, patients have a chance to meet with other people who are in treatment for opioid addiction. Addiction can often make people feel isolated and ashamed, but by participating in group counseling, patients can learn that they are not alone in their experiences, and the sense of support they receive can help reduce any feelings of shame. At our treatment center, we firmly believe in the effectiveness of medication-assisted treatment, and our goal is to help our patients develop the coping skills they need to prevent future relapse and be successful in their recovery journeys.
