Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS) Welcomes New Board Members

Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS) is supported by addiction treatment centers and a variety of other organizations including continuing care centers, sober living facilities, and recovery community organizations.

Their vision is to foster dynamic collaboration between addiction treatment professionals seeking to improve outcomes for alumni and all others in recovery. They are dedicated to supporting their members in several ways: through collaborative educational efforts AND through honoring the need for personal health and wellness as they engage in their passion to help others.

Their board is made up of addiction treatment professionals and leaders across the country. Most recently they announced the additions of Sara Beth Caldwell, Casey Hyatt, Kevin Johnson, and Anya Whalen. 

Sara Beth is the Director of Admissions and Alumni Services at the The Bridge to Recovery. Sara Beth is very active in her own recovery which began in January of 2013. She enjoys sharing her personal experiences through her addictions to help others to recover from their own. Her true passion is assisting and watching others overcome their obstacles. 

 

Casey Hyatt is the Alumni Coordinator for Cumberland Heights. He manages the Extended Care program, helping alumni develop a deeper understanding of recovery principles to use in everyday life. He has worked in the addiction treatment field since 2011. Casey says he feels incredibly grateful to be part of the Cumberland Heights family and to witness miracles happen for a living.
 

Kevin Johnson is the Director of Experiential and Alumni Services  at Family First Adolescent Services. Kevin received his CAC (Certified Addictions Counselor) license from the Florida Certification Board. Beyond handling the intake and assessment process, Kevin facilitates the substance-abuse group, assists in the adventure-therapy programming, and helps the boys develop life skills. 
 

Anya Whalen has been at Ashley Addiction Treatment since December 2021. She is the Director of Alumni Services, and is responsible for connecting alumni and families with support and treatment. She resides in Washington D.C.
