Featured in American Kennel Club's Fall Issue of their online publication, Family Dog, David Hertzberg and his golden retriever, Lola, were featured as an AKC Hero & Helper. Titled "The Light Makers", the article chronicles David's struggle with addiction, the addition of Lola into his family, her emotional contributions to his Al-Anon Meetings and then her transition as a certified therapy dog. For the past 6 months, Lola has been serving as a volunteer therapy dog for the patients at New Directions For Women in Southern California.
