Matching OCD Severity with the Right Level of Care

Matching OCD Severity with the Right Level of Care

Determining the appropriate level of care is one of the most critical—and often misunderstood—decisions in OCD treatment. Using case examples and evidence-informed frameworks, this presentation will guide clinicians through the continuum of OCD care, from outpatient therapy, to IOP and PHP options, to residential programs. Participants will learn how symptom severity, functional impairment, and treatment readiness inform placement, and gain tools for navigating clinical decision-making to ensure clients receive the right care at the right time.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

- Identify the clinical, functional and psychosocial indicators that guide treatment decisions across the continuum of OCD care

- Differentiate between the levels of care by examining the intensity, structure and therapeutic modalities best suited for varying OCD severity, comorbidities, and levels of insight

- Apply evidence-based frameworks to determine client readiness for ERP and identify indicators that warrant step-up or step-down transitions to optimize treatment outcomes
