Clients with gaming disorder often present differently than those with substance use disorder—and those differences matter when it comes to treatment. While there’s some overlap, assuming internet-based behaviors are just symptoms of deeper issues can lead to missed diagnoses and ineffective care.
Dr. Hilarie Cash, co-founder of reSTART Life and a leader in the field, shares practical insights from years of clinical experience. Learn how to spot key distinctions, avoid common assessment pitfalls, and tailor treatment approaches to better support clients struggling with gaming addiction.
