Using family systems theory as a foundation, participants will examine how anxiety circulates within families and contributes to cycles of crisis. The presenter will provide clinicians with practical tools and interventions to support families navigating heightened anxiety and stress.

Additionally, the session will highlight the importance of clinician self-awareness by addressing common experiences of countertransference that arise when working with anxious families. Participants will leave with actionable strategies to strengthen family resilience and more effectively manage both client and clinician responses in complex treatment settings.

After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

- Conceptualize how family systems theory explains the impact of parental anxiety on overall family functioning

- Apply new skills and evidence-based tools to support families managing crises linked to anxiety.

- Identify and reflect on experiences of countertransference when treating anxious family systems and use strategies to address them in practice
