Dr. Annie Peters, PhD, LP (she/her) serves as Director of Research and Education at the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, where she leads the FoRSE Outcomes Program—a national effort to advance addiction treatment through data, research, and real-world application.
Dr. Peters brings a rare combination of scientific rigor and clinical leadership, grounded in a deep understanding of substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions. Prior to NAATP, she served as Chief Clinical Officer at Harmony Foundation, Inc., where she oversaw addiction counseling, mental health services, and clinical case management within one of the nation’s longest-running residential treatment programs.
She earned her PhD in clinical psychology from University of Colorado Boulder and has dedicated her career to improving care through integrated treatment models and evidence-based approaches, including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapies.
Through FoRSE, Dr. Peters works alongside providers nationwide to translate outcomes data into meaningful insight—helping organizations better understand their impact, strengthen quality of care, and make more informed decisions.
