Caron Treatment Centers announced the Jasper C. Chen See MD Voluntary Leadership Award, at the NAATP National Leadership Conference on May 17, 2015
Caron's Jasper G. Chen See, M.D. Volunteer Leadership Award recognizes
individuals who have provided exceptional volunteer leadership in the area of addiction treatment through board membership and philanthropy. This award is presented annually at the NAATP board reception held as partof the NAATP Annual Leadership Conference. The Reception is sponsored by Caron Treatment Centers and NSM Ins.
This year's recipients were:
Eric Clapton, Nominated by Denise Berton Epp, CEO Crossroads Centre, Antigua
Sister Ada Geraghty, M.Ed., Nominated by Michael Neatherton, President/CEO Northbound Treatment Services.
The Awards Program
Mr Clapton was unable to attend, due to a concert conflict , however , sent an audio acceptance, honoring Dr Chen See, Caron and Crossroads Centre.
Sister Ada, was able to attend and gave a passionate acceptance speech, that received a standing ovation.
Douglas Tieman, President/CEO of Caron Treatment Centers stated, "Caron and NSM are proud to honor such worthy recipients of the Jasper C Chen See M.D. Award. Both Eric Clapton and Sister Ada, have done remarkable work to reduce the stigma of addiction and help those in need find recovery".
The Awards Program was concluded with a musical performance by Songwriter/Musician John McAndrew, who provided the participants with an inspirational evening of music, poetry and recovery.
