Maryland Addiction Recovery Center and Caron Treatment Centers announce Strategic Partnership

Maryland Addiction Recovery Centers is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Caron Treatment Centers for the treatment of substance use disorders. As leaders in the addiction treatment sector, MARC and Caron together provide patients in the Mid-Atlantic area an extensive continuum of care including assessment, detoxification, residential, extended and outpatient treatment, and family and recovery support services.

"Substance use disorder is a chronic, progressive, treatable disease, that requires patient-centered, ongoing care and lifetime disease management," said Doug Tieman, CEO and President of Caron. "This alliance allows for, when clinically appropriate, an enhanced continuum of care for Caron and MARC patients and their families."

This agreement formalizes an ongoing partnership between Caron and MARC that enhances and supports patient care, shares best practices and expands the reach of advocacy, education and access to care. Together, MARC and Caron plan to collaborate on events and CEU trainings in the Maryland, Greater Washington, DC and Northern Virginia region, provide population-specific services, and expand Caron's College Success services to MARC patients.

“Addiction is a complex public health crisis that is devastating the country and that requires comprehensive solutions. Now more than ever it’s important that top providers collaborate with each other to share innovation, data, and resources to develop the best possible recovery outcomes for patients and families,” explained Maryland Addiction Recovery Center Executive Director Sam Bierman. “This agreement will create an alliance that hopefully will be the standard for clinical, medical, and administrative collaboration within our industry.”
