Learn CRAFT Directly from Its Creator — At No Cost

Community Reinforcement & Family Training (CRAFT) is one of the most effective, evidence-based approaches for engaging families and improving treatment outcomes in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) care.

We The Village, an NAATP Member organization, is proud to offer the only online CRAFT training led by Dr. Robert J. Meyers, the creator of the model. This professional training study is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn from the source.

About the Training

Participants will gain a complete understanding of the CRAFT protocol—a structured, skills-based method that empowers family members to:

  • Support their loved one’s motivation for change
  • Strengthen communication and relationships
  • Promote engagement in treatment

Why CRAFT Works

Backed by more than 40 years of research and 11 well-controlled clinical trials, CRAFT has demonstrated proven success:

  • 68% of resistant individuals enter treatment after CRAFT
  • Effective across all substance types and family relationships
  • Outperforms traditional methods such as Al-Anon or standard interventions

Benefits for Participants

  • Free enrollment in the online training
  • CE credits (NASW, NAADAC)
  • Remuneration for completing study activities, including surveys and mock client sessions

Enrollment Information

This is the final training cohort, beginning November 3, 2025. Enrollment requires several quick steps, so early action is encouraged.
