Augustine Recovery hires new Director of Development - David A. Cunningham

The Augustine Recovery Center is excited to announce the hiring of David A. Cunningham as their new Director of Development.

Jason Chane, CEO and Co-Founder of The Augustine Recovery Center, states “We have waited five years to hire a special person that embodies the heart of who we are as people and as an organization, and lives by the principles and values we hold sacred. We did not take this step lightly, as we are intentional in our actions. Since 2015, we have been developing the substance of our program and what we want to deliver to the world at large, one family at a time. To say we are grateful and excited to have David join our team to share our vision with the world is an understatement. We are thrilled to walk this road together with him and his family, and blossom naturally. We are confident that he will represent us as we are, and how he is, and that should broaden our reach, strengthen our relationships, and expand our horizons."

David Cunningham has been in the addiction treatment profession since 1990. He has served as East Tennessee President, Tennessee State President and the Southeastern Regional Vice President for NAADAC. He has been the recipient of numerous awards in the field including: the Henry A. Ashe Professional of the Year in East Tennessee, the State Professional of the Year Award in Tennessee, runner up for the National Professional of the Year (NAADAC), the Tim Kerin Red Ribbon Award for Community Achievement with Child and Family Services and Helping Pre-Natal Chemically Exposed Children and Adults, East Tennessee Lifetime Achievement Honoree and most recently the Tennessee State Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been made an Honorary Member of Clean & Sober In the Wind Motorcycle Club of Portland, Oregon.

David's experience has included program development, supervision, counseling, consulting, and interventions. He is a NAADAC Approved Educational Provider, a Qualified Clinical Supervisor in Tennessee, and is EAGALA Certified in Equine Therapy. He also  volunteers time with American Red Cross, schools and local treatment facilities. He is a passionate member of NAADAC, a mentor to those entering the addiction profession and an advocate for those continuing to suffer from the disease of addiction. David is dedicated to the 12-step philosophy, leadership in the recovery field, the encouragement of others, and the promotion of sober lifestyles.

About The Augustine Recovery Center:

The Augustine Recovery Center was founded in 2015 in beautiful, historic St. Augustine, Florida by Jason and Lauren Chane. Our full continuum of care includes detoxification, residential, PHP, IOP, OP, and aftercare programming for men offering 12 Step immersion and accountability with a laser focus on trauma. Ongoing case management and sober living are also part of our offering.

This year, we will be opening our Women’s facility in downtown St. Augustine. It has been in the works for several years, and will finally open its doors in 2020. It will be a 16 bed facility, offering the full continuum of care as well, including detoxification, residential, PHP, IOP, OP, aftercare, ongoing case management and sober living.

The Augustine Recovery Center, as a family owned and operated facility, believes that the experience a client and their family have with us is a unique and special opportunity. We believe that all who come to us have the opportunity to recover fully and live a vibrant, purpose-driven life. We offer such a robust continuum of services because we are committed to a long-term relationship with our clients and their families. We realize that a family may only have one real chance financially, to help their loved one, and we want to make it count.
