NAATP is proud to lead the only Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated exclusively to the substance use disorder treatment field. The NAATP PAC provides a unified, nonpartisan way for professionals and organizations to support federal candidates who share our commitment to expanding access to quality, evidence-based care.

Through strategic, bipartisan contributions, the NAATP PAC has helped elevate the voice of the treatment field in critical policy conversations. One example was an event where the entire NAATP Board met with the co-chairs of the Addiction, Treatment and Recovery Caucus from the U.S. House of Representatives. Those discussions proved influential as Affordable Care Act rules were being developed and ensured that the perspective of treatment providers was represented at a pivotal moment in federal policymaking.

As the policy and regulatory challenges facing our field continue to increase, it is essential that NAATP expand its advocacy capacity. That requires participation from our members.

The next opportunity to support the PAC is the 2026 NAATP PAC Golf Tournament, held during the NAATP Annual Conference at Amelia Island, Florida, on May 4th. Any NAATP member who is a salaried employee is eligible to contribute. Tournament participants will support critical advocacy efforts while enjoying a round at the beautiful Oak Marsh Golf Course, with a chance to win a new golf driver.
