JOINTLY PROVIDED BY: MENNINGER, ALINA LODGE, AND PAVILLON
Alina Lodge is pleased to announce the second event in our continuing Free Virtual CEU series for the summer with our partners Pavillion Addiction Treatment Centers and Menninger Clinic
Menninger's own Daryl Shorter, MD, returns for a 3-part series where he will provide an in-depth review on how Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) impact the delivery of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in the United States. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is often applied to the workplace environment, in hopes of creating environments which better reflect the diverse cultural, racial, gender and socio-economic differences in every aspect of our lives.
But how do we apply Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to SUD care? Dr. Shorter will present three workshops on each individual aspect of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. These presentations will focus on the history and development of each aspect and its application within the behavioral healthcare field, challenging our knowledge and understanding of how DEI impacts SUD treatment
