The Cost of Addiction in the Workplace

Join addiction and interventionist expert Bob Poznanovich as he explores the dangers of substance use in the workplace. He’ll discuss current trends, risks, and direct and indirect costs to businesses and organizations while touching on how the legalization of marijuana will bring additional workplace challenges.

Objectives:

-Understand addiction, the prevalence of substance use among working adults and the related costs
-Learn how legalizing recreational marijuana would impact the workplace
-Identify resources for helping employers ensure a safe and productive workplace while operating within the guidelines of the law

He co-authored the popular Hazelden Publishing title, It Is Not Okay to Be a Cannibal: How to Keep Addiction from Eating Your Family Alive, outlining a practical course of action for families to break free from the grips of addiction and is recognized as an expert speaker and media resource regarding the cost of addiction in the workplace.
