Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Gateway Foundation, Lake Villa has an immediate opening for a Program Director of a newly created residential Substance Use Disorder treatment program specifically for members of the LGBTQ+ community. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the program from its inception with the support of an expert team.

Program Directors are responsible for:

• Planning, organizing, evaluating, and directing the delivery of quality client services within a defined substance abuse treatment program
• Reviewing clinical treatment services and results; and ensuring compliance with Gateway’s standards and objectives, applicable contracts, regulations and accreditation standards
• Recommending program budgets, goals, and policies; and ensuring effective implementation and administration of same
• Other duties as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

Ideal candidate is a licensed therapist, counselor (LCPC), social worker (LCSW) or psychologist with at least 3-5 years’ experience in residential substance abuse treatment and has demonstrated the following skills:

• Curriculum and Program Design
• Staff Management, Supervision and Development
• Community Presentations and Outreach

Individual must be able to demonstrate their experience and passion for directing a program which is inclusive and focused on meeting the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as delivering evidence based Substance Use Disorder Treatment.
