Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Our client, Houston's leading non-profit provider of prevention, education, and outpatient treatment services for alcoholism, addiction, and co-occurring mental health disorders, is searching for a President/CEO.

The President and CEO is responsible for the overall operation including planning, execution and reporting on all activities. Works with the Board to provide direction to the formulation of policy and leadership for the achievement of the organization's mission, strategy and annual goals and objectives. The President and CEO will translate these plans into fundraising and program initiatives and adhere to all contractual and organization legal obligations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum of 10 years management and leadership experience with proven, demonstrated leadership capabilities and results. Experience with an organization focused on addition and mental health is required.
Master's degree in the behavioral health sciences from an accredited university or advanced degree with advanced experience in the behavioral health environment
Candidate must be able to demonstrate success implementing complex strategic initiatives over a multi-year time frame.
Proven ability to work with diverse groups including community organizations, Boards of Directors, industry and government.
Demonstrated self-confidence and presence with persons of varying social and economic backgrounds.
A passion for behavioral health including addiction and mental health.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Successful track record in fundraising at varying levels, including philanthropy, special events, and individual and planned giving.
Skilled in managing a budget and financial issues.
Ability to travel ten percent of the year
Demonstrated successful relationships with state and local governmental officials.
