Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Gateway Foundation Corrections is a Division of Gateway Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of the people we treat. Since 1968, we have been an industry leader in providing the answers individuals and their families need related to drug and alcohol treatment.

Our correctional treatment programs treat substance abusing adults involved in the criminal justice system. Our programs include in-prison treatment, community corrections outpatient care, day reporting centers and assessment and intervention programs. We also provide treatment to offenders who are challenged with a Co-Occurring/Dual-Diagnosed mental health problem. Gateway's drug and alcohol treatment programs are innovative, effective and cost-efficient.

The Executive Director of Business Development, Corrections Division will be responsible for:

Responsible for developing, planning, implementing, overseeing and coordinating the marketing, sales, account management and business activities of Gateway’s Corrections Division to ensure the desired position in the corrections treatment marketplace. Maintains current funding sources and obtains new funders to enhance business opportunities for the corrections service division. Works closely with Gateway departments to identify and prepare proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs); and acts as an internal consultant to the Corrections Division.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public administration or a closely related field
• Minimum of 7 seven years progressively more responsible, related experience in contract negotiations and treatment field at a management level
• Advanced communication skills necessary to deal effectively in person or in writing with a wide variety of influential individuals inside and outside the organization
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities necessary to organize, plan and direct activities and operations within areas of responsibility, resolve barriers to achievement of overall goals and objectives, and develop short- and long-term plans and strategies
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in improving financial performance through targeted sales and marketing
• Ability to travel approximately up to 50% of the time to identify potential business opportunities, make presentations and meet with stakeholders
