This is a great job with a low work load. Counselors average about 5 hours of clients per day with 3 hours for notes and breaks. The team is really nice and everyone gets along very well. Our average counselor make $28 per hour.
We are looking for certified counselors or people who have completed their counselor training and are registered counselors or eligible to become a registered counselor. If you are licensed counselor we may have a position for you and we encourage you to apply!
Schedules are very flexible so that counselors can make health or family related appointments. Overtime shifts are sometimes available after hours or on Saturdays.
You can work at our clinics in Lodi or in Galt. If you live in Stockton, Lodi, Galt, Elk Grove or South Sacramento, the commute will be easy for you.
Responsibilities:
Conduct intake and diagnosis.
Conduct therapy sessions.
Create short and long-term treatment plans.
Conduct individual counseling sessions.
Perform group therapy sessions.
Develop or maintain healthy relationships with peers and supervisors.
Provide counseling via phone or email.
Set goals and objectives for clients.
Communicate with other professionals working with the client.
