Director of Business Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

We are looking for a dynamic person who can deftly manage a team of remote-working Business Development Managers, organize contracting with payors, and help identify opportunities for growth across the agency.

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities; developing strategy and personnel to maintain and grow business relationships with internal staff and external partners of Gaudenzia. Working in conjunction with the regional leadership teams and through your team of Business Development Managers, you will build relationships that include but are not limited to referral sources, payors, community organizations, county authorities, local government, criminal justice, law enforcement, social service agencies, etc. This includes building, training, motivating and holding accountable the Business Development Management team across the footprint of Gaudenzia to craft and refine the reputation of Gaudenzia with our external stakeholders in partnership with the Communications Director and HelpLine Director and under the leadership of the Chief Impact Officer. You will be responsible for creating an environment of achievement, accountability, excitement, and fun for a group of individuals representing Gaudenzia programs across the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Washington DC. This includes managing and reporting from the Business Development CRM component of Salesforce.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s Degree + 5 years of experience managing others OR
Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited university + 7 years of experience managing others OR
Ten years of experience managing others in the Substance Use Disorder field

3 - 5 years working in a referral development or admissions role
3 – 5 years managing other professionals remotely
Experience with a CRM system
