Main Areas of Responsibility:
Counselor ll is responsible for providing substance and alcohol abuse treatment services with patients entering a treatment program with New Directions for Families within the guidelines of Valley Hope Association policy and procedures. The counselor II would be responsible for conducting individual, group therapy and lecture sessions as assigned. Maintain documentation of treatment on KiPU database and provide the best possible care to patients and their families seeking help from substance and alcohol abuse.
-Master’s degree in behavioral sciences, education or social work.
-License or credential to function as an alcohol and drug treatment counselor in the state of Colorado in which the Counselor is working.
- One (1) year of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.
