Assessment Counselor (Telehealth option available)

We are looking for a full-time Assessment Counselor to join our team of mental health professionals. This could be is a Telehealth position for individuals based in Roseburg, Albany, or the Greater Eugene, OR area .

Assessment Counselors are the first points of contact for our patients and are responsible for conducting assessments and guiding individuals through the evaluation process. They are welcoming, compassionate, professional, informed, and accurate.

Main Job Functions:
• Gather and record pertinent information from caller
• Complete comprehensive ASAM assessments, determine SUD diagnosis & level of care need, make treatment recommendations, and provide full risk assessment.
• Provide information to callers regarding services, business office procedures and referrals.
• Direct to appropriate program/service or referral
• Complete and route all records, accurately
• May be assigned inquiry call coverage
*This position would include completion of both scheduled and immediate ASAM assessments.*

Qualifications:
• Current CADC I certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire, required
• Prior Customer service experience and computer proficiency, required
• Excellent phone skills to establish therapeutic alliance with caller, a must
• Ability to identify and properly address crisis situations following established protocol, desired
• Familiarity with medical records software, ASAM and DSM-V criteria, desired
We are looking for professionals who are great listeners and can easily establish rapport and therapeutic alliance with callers in a fast-paced work environment.

With a specialty and residential treatment program in Coburg, OR, and nine outpatient facilities in Roseburg, Eugene, Bend, Albany, Salem, and Portland (SW and SE), our team members are passionately engaged in providing safe, quality and best in class residential and outpatient care to patients through the process of admissions, detoxification, and addiction treatment.
