Vermilion Behavioral Health Systems is a leading provider of mental health and addiction treatment for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, we provide age-appropriate programming to ensure that each patient can receive the most effective and personal treatment. Our multidisciplinary team aims to lead with compassion and kindness, guiding you through science-based, research-supported therapeutic activities. If you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms of mental health concerns such as anxiety, intermittent explosive disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, and depression, Vermilion offers specialized inpatient treatment for adolescents ages 12-17 and adults age 18 and older. We also provide separate inpatient detox treatment for adolescents and adults. Our addiction specialists can help you work toward recovery from addictions to substances that include alcohol, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, opioids, and prescription drugs. Our inpatient programs include medication management services if you need to take medication during your stay. If you don’t require round-the-clock care, Vermilion provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP). If you are struggling with mental health concerns, along with co-occurring addictions, our Visions PHP may be right for you. Many of our programs are based on rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). We may also incorporate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and 12-Step groups. In addition, we offer expressive, recreational, and experiential therapies. After an initial evaluation, we will work with you to create a comprehensive therapeutic experience based on your unique needs and treatment goals. This may include individual therapy, family therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In group therapy sessions, you may have the opportunity to connect with peers who can relate to your challenges. You may also learn about problem-solving, relapse prevention, conflict resolution, goal setting, and forming appropriate boundaries. We want to equip you with tools and strategies that can allow you to continue your path to lasting health even after you leave Vermilion.
