Red River Hospital is a leading behavioral health treatment center located in Wichita Falls, Texas. We offer age-appropriate, individualized treatment for children ages 12-17 and adults age 18 and older. We are also pleased to provide a Geriatric Unit for senior adults who may have limited mobility, cognitive impairments, or medical concerns. Our levels of care include inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). In our Child and Adolescent Unit, a qualified and capable team of compassionate care providers delivers comprehensive programming for patients. We treat many mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. Your individualized treatment plan may include daily group therapy, didactic educational groups, individual and family therapies, and medication management services. We have found rewards to be a positive motivator, so we’ve created a structured behavioral level system just for our younger patients. For adults who are struggling with mental health concerns or addictions, our Adult Behavioral Health Unit offers superior treatment in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. We treat a variety of concerns, such as depression, psychosis, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder, as well as addictions to substances such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and opioids. Addiction treatment can include detoxification services for those who need them. All our patients receive ongoing evaluations to determine the program structure that is right for them. As part of our Geriatric Unit, we offer an Active Seniors Program centered on daily group therapy, educational sessions, and leisure groups. Seniors may practice life skills that can assist them in community reintegration, and they will also have opportunities to participate in recreational therapy, art therapy, and other experiential activities. We want to create a respectful environment where our patients can feel more positively about their abilities as well as increase their self-esteem. We are pleased to offer our unique Military Resiliency Unit for active-duty United States military members, veterans, and certain adult dependents. The team of professionals that leads this unit has experience working with members of the military and aims to equip and empower each patient for long-term success.
