Valley Behavioral Health System is a premier provider of inpatient mental health and co-occurring addiction treatment for children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns such as borderline personality disorder, depression, psychosis, trauma, and anxiety. Located in Barling, Arkansas, near the beautiful Arkansas River, we offer a variety of services in a safe, judgment-free environment. We employ a highly qualified team of professionals, including therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, and recreational specialists, who work with each patient to create a personalized plan of care. That plan may include individual, group, family, and recreational therapies. We welcome children ages 4–10 and adolescents ages 11–17 to attend our acute and subacute inpatient programs. These programs include 24/7 supervision and medication management services. The types of treatment we use in our inpatient programs can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), reality therapy, and motivational interviewing. For adults age 18 and older, we offer acute inpatient programming, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Our care team delivers the same evidence-based treatment and therapies that our younger patients receive, but our outpatient programs provide more flexible scheduling options. We offer PHP five hours a day, five days per week, and you can choose to attend IOP either in the morning or afternoon, three to five times per week.
