About This Organization:

Tower Behavioral Health, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, offers a state-of-the-art treatment center for adults and adolescents who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Our highly qualified and compassionate team of professionals includes psychiatrists, certified psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, counselors, dietitians, and occupational therapists. These professionals work with each patient as needed to create an individualized treatment plan that can address the person’s unique treatment goals. At Tower Behavioral Health, we treat behavioral health concerns such as anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizoaffective disorder, self-harm, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal ideation. We also understand that addiction concerns can complicate the path to healing, so we offer personalized co-occurring addiction treatment for adults age 18 and older. Our adult inpatient program provides structured treatment that may combine individual, group, and family therapy sessions with experiential therapies, including art, music, and dance. We also offer a specialized inpatient unit for adolescents ages 14-17. In addition to leading sessions that teach life skills and assist in safety and wellness planning, our clinicians and certified teachers partner with school districts to offer individualized educational support in an on-site classroom. For adults age 18 and older who are ready for step-down treatment, Tower Behavioral Health offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP). In our PHP, you can work with a supportive network of staff members and peers to practice life skills and discuss topics such as distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. We understand that some adults may benefit from receiving services in their homes and nearby facilities. We’ve developed our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program to help meet the needs of adults age 26 and older who are experiencing persistent symptoms of behavioral health challenges such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. Patients in our ACT program may receive case management services, weekly medication deliveries, substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational support, and help scheduling and attending appointments with primary care doctors. At Tower Behavioral Health, we aim to help you take ownership of the challenges you may be facing and give you the tools and resources you need to work toward long-term healing.
