Southstone Recovery Center Accredited
"Located in South Boston, Virginia, Southstone Recovery Center is a premier outpatient treatment center for women age 18 and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addictions. We also provide care for women who are struggling with symptoms of co-occurring mental health concerns.
The goal at Southstone is to help women rediscover a sense of purpose and develop the skills necessary for achieving long-term recovery. We offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which is a highly structured outpatient program that provides services seven days a week. Each woman who receives care in our PHP is given an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to meet their specific needs. Using evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing, our team provides individual therapy once a week and family therapy on an as-needed basis. Group therapy is offered daily and covers various topics, including mindfulness, psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and goal processing. Therapy sessions are led by counselors, therapists, nurses, and other qualified medical providers.
Additionally, participants in our PHP can participate in recreational therapy and experiential therapies, which may include art therapy, dance therapy, and music therapy. Participants also have the opportunity to receive education on the 12-Step recovery model.
The multidisciplinary treatment team at Southstone Recovery Center is dedicated to providing clinically excellent care to each woman who seeks our services. By helping women become aware of negative behavior patterns, accept that their behaviors can change, learn coping strategies, and commit to the treatment process, we believe that they can begin to feel confident in their ability to overcome their struggles with addiction and be successful in their recovery journeys.
