San Juan Capestrano Hospital is a leading provider of treatment for adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns and addictions. Our world-class staff is ready to welcome you to our state-of-the-art treatment center, located in the metropolitan area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. We offer separate inpatient and outpatient treatment services for adolescents ages 13-17 and adults age 18 and older. This approach helps us to provide the most effective care based on a person’s age and individual treatment goals. Our inpatient program addresses behavioral health concerns such as anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-harm, impulse control, and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), as well as addictions to substances such as alcohol, cocaine, and heroin. We provide medically supervised detoxification services to adults age 18 and older. If you are stepping down from inpatient care or seeking a structured outpatient treatment option, you can participate in San Juan Capestrano Hospital’s partial hospitalization program (PHP). With units for both adolescents and adults, this program includes occupational therapy as well as individual, family, and group therapies throughout the week. You may learn more about topics such as stress management, self-esteem, and managing loss and grief in groups designed to prepare you for ongoing healing after you leave our treatment center. Doctors and nurses are also available to support you with medication management services as needed. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available to adults age 18 and older who are struggling with symptoms of addictions to substances such as marijuana, heroin, and prescription medications. Our clinicians may lead groups in discussions about topics that include co-occurring disorders, stages of change, healthy relationships, and the 12 Step model of recovery.
