Riverview Behavioral Health is a premier treatment provider for people who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Our treatment center in Texarkana, Arkansas, is conveniently located near the borders of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. At Riverview, we believe that the best treatment programs cater specifically to the developmental needs of the age groups that they serve. We offer separate inpatient programming tracks for children ages 5-12, adolescents ages 13-17, adults ages 18-54, and seniors age 55 and older. Our team of professionals is highly trained to treat mental health concerns such as depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We can also treat individuals who have symptoms of co-occurring addictions to substances such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids. Our medical detoxification program is available for adults age 18 and older. In treatment, each patient may bring a unique set of physical, mental, and emotional needs. At Riverview, we provide personalized care based on a foundation of treatment modalities that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and the 12-Step model of recovery. Patients may participate in individual, group, and family therapy sessions. They can also engage their minds, hearts, and bodies in activities such as art therapy, psychodrama, and guided imagery. Our goal is to prepare each patient to return to their regular schedules feeling equipped and empowered to continue their healing journeys. Our clinicians provide opportunities to learn and practice life skills by discussing topics that include relapse prevention, anger management, and impulse control. We also offer outpatient treatment in the form of a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).
