About This Organization:

At Rio Vista Behavioral Health, we provide high-quality treatment for adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. Our treatment center is located on the banks of the Rio Grande river in El Paso, Texas, also known as “Sun City.” Our facility can be the ideal place to find support and healing in a peaceful, picturesque setting. The compassionate professionals at Rio Vista take a comprehensive approach to treatment. We don’t just address a patient’s symptoms; we treat each person with dignity and respect. We also collaborate with patients and their families to create individualized treatment plans that can meet patients’ unique needs. Our programming incorporates therapeutic methods that can effectively treat the mind, body, and spirit. These modalities can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, art therapy, and recreational therapy. Rio Vista Behavioral Health offers several programs designed to meet patients’ specific needs. We have separate, age-appropriate inpatient programming for adolescents ages 11-17, adults age 18 and older, and senior patients. Patients may participate in individual, group, and family therapy sessions throughout the week. They may also have access to art and recreation experiences that can allow them to creatively express their thoughts and feelings. Our team of doctors and nurses can assist patients with medication management services and any medical care they may need during their stay. We provide in-person and telehealth options for our partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP). These programs offer patients the flexibility to participate in their regular activities before and after they receive treatment each day. Patients typically stay in each outpatient program for two to four weeks, but we can determine your ideal length of stay based on ongoing evaluations. We are pleased to provide two specialized tracks: the S.T.A.R. Program and the PRISM Program. Our S.T.A.R. Program supports military members, veterans, and first responders who may have experienced the life-changing effects of cumulative trauma. Our PRISM Program provides services to members of the LGBTQ+ community in a safe and affirming environment. At Rio Vista, we aim to provide the best comprehensive patient-centered treatment in the El Paso area.

Mission Statement:

At Rio Vista Behavioral Health, we believe in creating programming that reflects the unique aspects of each individual’s journey to recovery. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we conduct thorough assessments that give us precise insights into our patients’ needs. From there, we tailor the planning process based on the presenting concerns and innate strengths of each person who heals with us.
