Memphis Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Memphis, Tennessee, offers trusted outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. We use medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which incorporates prescription medication and talk therapy as part of the process for treating opioid addictions. Respected organizations like the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recommend MAT as it has proved to be one of the most successful approaches to treating opioid addiction. Adults who participate in MAT at our treatment center may receive a prescription for methadone or buprenorphine. Prior to admission, each person participates in a thorough assessment, and the results of that assessment will help determine which medication may be best for them. Our team will then prescribe and monitor the effects of the medication throughout the patient’s time in treatment. In addition to prescribing medication, we also offer both individual and group therapy. During these sessions, patients can address the influences that may have contributed to their struggles with opioid addiction. They may also begin to develop skills and strategies that can help them resist relapse and remain in recovery. In individual therapy, patients meet one-on-one with a qualified professional, while, in group therapy, they have an opportunity to meet with other individuals who may be facing similar challenges.
