St. Johns Recovery Place is a patient-centered primary substance abuse treatment program that offers both residential and outpatient care services with locations in Crescent City, Deland, and Melbourne, Florida. Our qualified and experienced medical team, comprised of a Medical Director, Director of Nursing, Physician's Assistants, ARNPs, Nurses, and Behavioral Health Technicians, provides close medical monitoring of detoxification to treat withdrawal symptoms for all mood-altering substances presented at admission. The Director of Nursing manages the day-to-day operations of the medical department, and the medical protocols are established and monitored by the Medical Director.
We pride ourselves on our holistic, individualized, patient-centered approach utilizing the patient's strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to enhance case conceptualization and treatment planning to provide the potential for the patient to meet maximum therapeutic gains throughout the treatment experience.
St. John's Recovery Place is comprised of Certified Addiction Counselors, Master's Level Therapists, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors utilizing an eclectic variety of therapeutic orientations based on the patient's individual presenting substance use disorders and mental and emotional health challenges. Therapists utilize a variety of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, including, but not limited to, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, to work toward the identification of cognitive distortions associated with addictive pathology and aid in cognitive restructuring. In addition to CBT and other therapeutic orientations, St. Johns Recovery Place integrates a variety of experiential and adventure-based therapies into the treatment experience, including, but not limited to, equine therapy, pet therapy, art therapy, and music therapy. St. Johns Recovery Place has proudly developed and implemented a vibrant and successful Neurointegration Therapy Program corresponding to the patient's individualized treatment plan to promote physical, mental, and emotional healing. St. John's Recovery Place supports and encourages the implementation of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for clinically appropriate candidates through engaging patients in Vivitrol induction while being treated at our facility. Lastly, our case management team collaborates with MAP Care Solutions, community partners, modeling the importance of positive and supportive interpersonal relationships to aid in appropriate, patient-centered, continuing care thereby enhancing the patient's intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on their journey throughout the continuum of care.
