At Providence Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Providence, Rhode Island, we are here to help patients every step of their journey to recovery. Our outpatient treatment center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older of all genders who are struggling with opioid use disorder. MAT incorporates prescription medication and therapy to provide patients with the best possible care. Patients at our center may receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, or naltrexone. Medication can help alleviate withdrawal symptoms and opioid cravings, but it is only one part of the equation. To achieve long-term sobriety, patients must also make lifestyle changes that support their recovery. That is why our MAT program incorporates individual and group therapy. During sessions, patients can address the underlying causes of their struggles with opioid addiction and begin to develop the skills they need to resist relapse.
