About This Organization:

Partial Hospitalization Treatment-
The ultimate goal of our Partial Hospitalization treatment program is long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. This is achieved by educating and treating clients so that they may re-enter society and lead responsible, successful drug and alcohol free lives by using our proven tools of recovery. We recognize and fulfill each client's needs by helping them attain a thorough understanding of themselves and the recovery process.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment-
Our Intensive outpatient programs are designed for clients who complete our full PHP treatment and intensive outpatient programs and are eligible to engage in ongoing treatment. Intensive Outpatient treatment is recommended for clients who no longer require a more structured environment to maintain sobriety and psychiatric stabilization. Treatment includes individualized treatment planning and incorporates educational and process groups, and individual counseling. Appropriate referrals are made for involvement of the client in community support groups, including AA/NA, if needed community-based self-help groups, vocational agencies, and other necessary ancillary services. Intensive Outpatient Treatment gives the individual an opportunity to interact with the real world environment while still benefiting from a peer-oriented structured therapeutic program. FRESH START RECOVERY CENTER offers a morning and evening program for clients who are entering back into the workforce, have children, or other obligations that may hinder them from attending morning or evening groups. Offering these tracks allows for our clients to continue to reintegrate back into a normal and balanced life while continuing treatment. Client's progress is assessed regularly by clinical staff to help determine the length of the program for each participant. Safe, supportive living in our sober living homes is highly recommended during the outpatient treatment-process.
The ultimate goal of the program is long-term abstinence from drugs and stabilization of psychiatric symptoms. Intensive Outpatient clients are educated and treated so that they may integrate with society and lead responsible, successful drug and alcohol free lives by using the tools of recovery. We recognize and fulfill each client’s needs by helping them attain a thorough understanding of themselves and the recovery process while providing a safe, supportive environment.
Achieving and maintaining long-term abstinence from alcohol and drugs will be accomplished by:
* Educating clients in the disease process, ensuring they develop an understanding of addiction. *Teaching the psychological, medical, and spiritual affects of addiction to the individual and his/her family.
*Identifying and addressing emotional and behavioral obstacles in recovery.
*Relapse prevention: developing and implementing an effective aftercare treatment plan.
Clients who have reached the Intensive Outpatient stage are eligible for placement in FRESH START RECOVERY CENTER's monitored program. Our monitoring services provide all parties that have an interest in the well-being of the client (family, employers, employee assistance professionals, disability insurers) with notification if non-compliance with continuing care plans occurs. Clients are required to provide documentation substantiating their participation in 12 step meetings, Intensive outpatient treatment, and psychiatric follow up if applicable. Weekly telephonic conferences and random drug testing ensure timely intervention if behaviors associated with relapse present themselves.
The Intensive outpatient program is provided following stabilization from a higher level of care, including detoxification/ residential, or day or night treatment. This level of care is designed to promote patients' functioning in the community by offering a more intensive level of structure and support than was previously available for outpatients. The intensive outpatient program is recommended when a person with a dependency illness has living circumstances and a daily structure that are supportive for recovery. At FRESH START RECOVERY CENTER this level of care will be delivered three days weekly, in a manner that would allow a person to work or pursue academic interests. Intensive outpatient programming is most effective for persons who are progressing in their treatment to the extent that they are able to carry out their daily responsibilities yet commit to ongoing treatment, in-depth assessments by counselors and therapists lead to highly individualized treatment planning, in addition to intensive outpatient treatment, clients will be required to attend at least four 12 step meetings weekly. Persons assessed to be appropriate for this level of care receive individual and group therapy, an individualized treatment plan, relapse prevention therapy, process and skills based groups.
Process groups will explore the impact of alcohol and drug use on past and present personal functioning. Clients will learn new coping strategies to reduce substance use while increasing overall wellness. Information on the physical impact of substance abuse, the process of addiction and motivation for change will be provided.
Skills based groups will provide clients with a working knowledge of how to avoid high-risk situations for relapse early in recovery and to plan strategies to cope with such situations. Clients practice skills in treatment, social, and work setting. They learn other coping techniques, such as refusal skills, assertiveness and time management. The combined treatment is based on the rational that behavioral, psychological and pharmacological treatments operate by different yet complementary mechanisms that produce potentially addictive effects. Topics covered on the skills based groups are provided on a rotating basis and include the following subjects: Relapse Prevention, Coping Skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Communication Skills, Assertiveness Skill, sober Free Lifestyle Choices, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, and Substance Abuse Education
