About This Organization:

Located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a leading provider of outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are battling addictions to opioids. We offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which a form of opioid addiction treatment that combines counseling services with the use of prescription medication. Decades of research support the effectiveness of MAT, and it is recommended by organizations like the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as an optimal choice for treating people who are addicted to opioids. Many methadone clinics are only able to offer prescriptions for methadone as part of their MAT programming. At Clarksburg CTC, however, our staff can prescribe buprenorphine, Suboxone, and naltrexone in addition to methadone. Each patient takes part in assessment before starting treatment, and the results of that assessment allow our team to determine which medication may be of most benefit to each person. The FDA-approved medications used in MAT have proved to help ease symptoms of withdrawal and prevent the intense cravings that often lead to relapse. When prescribed and monitored by qualified professionals, these medications can be used both short-term and long-term. To complement the use of prescription medication, the team at our treatment center also offers group and individual counseling. During individual counseling sessions, patients meet with one of our team members in a confidential setting, while group counseling sessions give them the opportunity to meet with other individuals who are also struggling with addictions. While participating in these sessions, patients can share their experiences, talk through any setbacks they may have or be fearful of, celebrate the progress they’re making in treatment, and learn and practice coping skills that may help prevent future relapse. Additionally, these sessions often provide patients with the support and encouragement they need to be successful in their recovery journeys. If you would like more information about medication-assisted treatment, or if you have any questions about our programming, please call us today. We are here to help.
