Located in the striking mountains of Central Pennsylvania, White Deer Run of Allenwood is a leading provider of treatment for substance use disorders and certain co-occurring mental health concerns. Since 1970, our multidisciplinary teams of professionals have been working together to create individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs and goals of each patient. These plans may include medication management and individual, group, and family therapies. At White Deer Run of Allenwood, we treat adults age 18 and older who are struggling with the use of substances such as alcohol, cocaine, heroin, and prescription drugs. We also understand that co-occurring mental health concerns often complicate substance use disorder recovery. For this reason, our professionals are ready to help patients manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and more. At White Deer Run of Allenwood, patients may begin treatment with our medically monitored withdrawal management services. We also offer a residential rehabilitation program that provides 24/7 care in a safe atmosphere of dignity and respect. We have seen the power of peer support and encouragement in our many group therapy offerings. Patients can practice positive communication skills and gain insight from others as they learn about self-care, living skills, coping strategies, and anger management. We also offer several groups based on the 12-Step model of recovery.
