Lynn Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Lynn, Virginia, is proud to offer premier outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. We provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is a type of opioid addiction treatment that combines talk therapy with the use of prescription medication. Adults who participate in MAT at our treatment center may receive a prescription for methadone or Suboxone. Both medications have proved to help alleviate the distressing symptoms of withdrawal and improve treatment success rates. The medication that a person is prescribed is based on the results of an assessment that they receive prior to admission. A comprehensive approach to recovery from opioid addiction must address both the physical and psychological aspects of the disease. Medication can play an essential role in managing withdrawal symptoms and reducing cravings, but it is not enough. To achieve long-term recovery, patients must also develop the skills and strategies needed to cope with triggers and resist relapse. That's why our treatment program includes both group and individual therapy sessions.
