Muir Wood Trusted Teen Treatment Accredited
Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services (Muir Wood), is a Joint Commission accredited, residential gender specific treatment programs for adolescent boys and girls with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues. Located on 16 acres, with two main campuses, in idyllic Sonoma County, CA, Muir Wood accepts a maximum of 22 boys. Their treatment team includes full time psychiatrists, nursing staff, internal medicine physicians, psychologists, and Masters-level therapists. The Muir Wood Learning Center, a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited academic program, is located on both sites and is staffed with the state of California credentialed teachers. At their core, the programs emphasize kindness and compassion over confrontation and control, set in highly credentialed and specialized settings.
